We use Restylane® and Belotero® as preferred products. Both contain a crystal-clear gel of natural hyaloronic acid which is injected in small quantities into the skin. They are used for smoothing out folds and lines also for filling out and shaping lips, defining facial contours, hydrating and improving the quality of the skin.
Restylane (http://www.restylane.co.uk ) is the world’s most documented hyaluronic acid product for aesthetic use and has been on the market for more than 14 years. Over 20 million Restylane treatments have been carried out all over the world.
Belotero® is a similar product made in Germany by Merz Pharmaceuticals whose heritage and expertise in medicines and medical devices spans over 100 years and is renowned for exceptional safety, quality and outstanding results. (http://www.say.eu/products/belotero-volume)
Some of clinical indications to use fillers are:
Ideal for refreshing facial volumes in different areas, e.g.: cheeks, cheekbones, chin. It acts like a cushion following injection and supports facial structures and tissue that may have lost volume and elasticity.
Nose-to-mouth lines can be the most noticeable folds on our face. Fillers will smooth them away and leave you with a subtle, even result. Fillers also can be used to correct superficial lines, even in very sensitive skin areas. Some fillers are available with local anesthetic to allow treatment comfort.
Lip enhancement with an injectable aesthetic product requires a less-is-more approach for a natural-looking result. Injections can be given gradually during different appointments until the desired outcome is achieved.
Botolinum Toxin is a muscle relaxant which is active agent in Azzalure® Vistable® and Bocouture® specifically developed for aesthetic use, improvement of wrinkles as frown lines, forehead lines and periorbital lines (also known as crow’s feet).
